I took the GRE waaaay back. How has it changed over the years? Just wondering as I haven't kept up. My son will be taking it in a few years and I want to know what direction it is heading.

I think it really depends on how you look at it. Obviously the content has been updated over the years, but any current GRE review book will cover this. The primary change of recent years was in 2002 when the GRE section of logic and analytical games was eliminated. This was replaced by the analytical writing assessment.

Anyone here take it with the logic and analytical games? I thought these were a lot more "fun" than the writing assessment. Obviously this is a test so fun doesn't matter, but you know how it is ;-)
