UNIVERSITY OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA MBA

Hello,

I need some advice from someone who has graduated from the MBA programme from The University of Western Australia.

The UWA offers the general MBA, International MBA and the advanced MBA.

Which of the three MBA's gives the extra edge in getting employed ? Do Australian employers' have any preferences of MBA graduands with International MBA over those with just the general MBA?

Personally, I think the International MBA gives the students a global outlook towards businesses and I am inclined towards taking up the International MBA.

Could someone please share with me his / her experience?

Thank you.

Yours truly,
yoga&yoghurt

I can't find a reference to the 'international' mba on this page http://www.gsm.uwa.edu.au/web/gsm/home.nsf...)/about+courses (http://www.gsm.uwa.edu.au/web/gsm/home.nsf/(published+documents)/about+courses)

When you say 'advanced' do you mean 'executive'?

Anyway ... each MBA has its own function. You might not be eligible for entry to the 'executive' mba.

Australian employers do not have a preference because it will depend on the situation. For example, a local government authority would most likely prefer a general MBA over an international MBA whereas a business with international orientations would no doubt prefer the international mba.

Whichever you decide will still give you a firm basis to launch your management career.
