Hi friends:

If I want to read a good MBA program, do I need to select one from AMBA accredited schools?

Thanks

If you are thinking about Australia and have the marks to get into the top unis, shorlist them and wait for the offers. Once you get them - send them an email and see which one responds to you best. This is your starting point.

If they don't respond to you, could you imagine what it will be like once they have your money...

Hussain :

Thanks for your reply.

What I prefer to study is UK MBA. And most of accredited schools in AMBA are British schools.

Hi FreeA,

You posted the same posts in so many topics, so I was not sure if Australia was one of your study destination choices. Sorry about that.

As regards with the UK unis being accreidted, so are the Aussie unis. What I was suggesting was a few "filters" to be able to decide which uni to finally go to. I guess this would apply to all unis wheather accrediate or not. I mean you cannot be studying at more than one uni at the same time, can you....;)

All the best to you.

Dear FreeA,

Thanks for posting in the 'Applying' thread that we moderate. I have responded to your question below:

Q: If I want to read a good MBA program, do I need to select one from AMBA accredited schools?

Generally speaking you should always seek an accredited MBA program. There is a good article on the subject located at:

http://businessmajors.about.com/library/weekly/aa012003a.htm

Although the article is somewhat US-centric, it still gets to the point about why this is an important matter.

There are numerous accredited schools in the UK. Depending on your qualifications and career goals you may wish to target a certain type. For example, if your goal is to work in international finance - and potentially be located outside of the UK someday, you may want to target a program like LBS.

Best of luck in the MBA admissions process,

Graham Richmond
