Dear Cem,

Let me begin by offering a few pieces of general advice with regards to your candidacy. First of all, however, remember that one of the most important (if not the most important) aspects of your MBA candidacy is your professional experience. You need to have done some interesting and successful work in at least one industry, or the admissions committees at the top business schools will be much less likely to consider your application. More specifically with regard to your academics and ESADE, here are some things to keep in mind:

1) The GMAT ?The average GMAT at ESADE is around 650. Your 560 falls significantly below that average, and means that you will need to either raise the score or present the rest of your academic record extremely compellingly, to be considered a strong applicant. Unfortunately, a 2.6, even from a very strong university with an upward trend, will likely not be high enough to offset a below average GMAT. Therefore, if you are set on ESADE, I would encourage you to study hard (perhaps taking a preparatory course) and retake the test.

2) Career goals ?Since you are interested in the Marketing Management program at ESADE, you will need to demonstrate to the admissions committee that your previous career experience and your future career goals are well aligned with the specific program. Therefore, as you begin bolstering your academic record, I would also recommend learning more about the school and beginning to try to craft a distinct career goals progression.

Good luck with the application process!

Hi Clear Admit
Thanks for your reply. I am quite confused between ESADE and IE. I am not quite sure about ESADE. Because in most of the rankings IE seems like a better school. Do you have any idea about this? I took IE admission test, and send all my documents, waiting for an answer from them. Do you have any idea which school has more reputation in business world? As you have asked, I have decided on my career path, that I wanna work in Marketing Dept. in a multinational firm in Spain that is the reason why I apply to IE and ESADE. I would be so glad if you can give me some advice on these two schools either Thanks
