Hi,

This is the first time I am writing in .
Took the GMAT a week back and scored 710 (94 percentile). Have above 80 percentile in both Quant and Verbal Sections.
My CGPA is apx 3.8 throughout .
I hold a BTech degree in Computer Engineering and I have also completed a full time (2 years) MBA course in Marketing from a leading Indian business school.
I have 3 years experience in the IT sector and am currently employed with a top IT MNC as a business development manager.

I am interested in shifting into a marketing consultancy and take on a marketing consultant's role.

I am looking for a one year specialisation course focussed in any of the following marketing disciplines: Consumer Behavior, Marketing Communications, Marketing Strategy etc.
I am not interested in repeating another general MBA since I have already covered most of the subjects already.

Please advise on suitable options.

Thanks.

VERY few b-schools will take someone who already has an MBA, unless you can show the first one truly failed you or that you're doing such a significant career switch your first one is no longer relevant.

I would instead look at an MS in Marketing, because it will be much more concentrated and you won't be repeating those general core courses. Look at the Medill School of Journalism's Integrated Marketing Communications MS...considered one of the best in the country. I would do a Google search for other MS programs as well. I think Columbia University is supposed to have a good one, as well as Boston College or Boston University, but it's been a while since I first researched an MS in Marketing for myself.
