I was wondering, from you experience what is the time someone would be reading my application if I apply on the day of the deadline. I know there is no fixed date etc and as usual it depends on the num of appl, availabililty of the reviewers etc. But say an equal num of ppl as in R1 apply, guessing 3000, and I am one of the last 200-300 applicant i.e applicant num 2700-3000 to have submitted the application. Would I have 3-4 weeks to turn in my GMAT retry score. i.e say towards the end January i.e say the last week in Jan. I need to schedule a date for GMAT hence this question.

I called Univ of Chicago and they said I would surely be fine with taking 14 days after the deadline, since usually this is when then start handing out the apps to reviewers. After that this is no guarantee but she said tht they will try their best. What abt Wharton or kellogg ? Do u have suggestions ?

Basically I am looking for the largest number (14days, 25 days) based on my info (2900th applicant of 3000). Just a guesstimate is ok.

Hey Agarwavs,

This is clearly an important question for you to have answered as you make some decisions about when to schedule the test. However, all of the programs begin to review their applications on a different schedule, so even if you are one of the last to submit your application, my recommendation would still be that you get in touch with each school and get their range. With this information in hand, you can make the most educated decision about when to schedule the GMAT. Also, keep in mind that an admissions officer may get your file well before they actually read it; so you don’t want to speculate about when someone will read it so much as when it will be distributed within an office.
