One more question. During college I was student body president for a year and the executive director of student special events (the campus group responsible for bringing concerts, speakers, etc. to campus). I was payed for both of these positions, and they served as extra-curriculars as well as my job. Should I list them in the employment section (where it asks for full and part time employment) or the college activities section, or both. they could easily fall into either category, which would be more beneficial?
Thanks!
Kevin

Dear Kevin,

Since you’ve only had one year of work experience, I’d recommend that you list these positions in the employment section of the application. This will allow you to bolster this section and to show the adcom that you’ve had other experiences working during your undergraduate years. Another reason for listing these as “employment?is because you mentioned in your previous post that you were extensively involved at UNM so would have many other activities to fill your extracurricular section.
