academio 06-04-2006, 01:03 PM Hey ClearAdmit,
First of all, this is a great forum.
I am 26 years old. I got my undergraduate degree in Bacehlor of Science in Business with a GPA of 3.96 with academic distinction honors. I also did my GMAT and got a score of 790. I have 5 years of work experience as a Regional Brand Manager for PepsiCo in London and have traveled the world on visits as a speaker on brand seminars. I also have my own business of marketing consultancy and brand promotions which I am running for 6 years now. i have 2000 employees as of now in my own venture. I have displayed my leadership abilities in many projects of PepsiCo.
I plan on doing my MBA in Wharton or Harvard or Stanford or Columbia. Please tell me my chances of getting in. Be Brutal!
Thanks
Charles
Clear Admit 06-05-2006, 04:45 PM Your numbers are spectacular, and certainly someone running a business with 2K employees would be unusual in the applicant pool. You may need to convince the adcom why you need an MBA given your successes to date.
cheers, alex

EVGal 06-06-2006, 03:42 AM Academio, you are impressive. I think those two sentences sums it up for me. I would think you would be an automatic entry. My girlfriend recently graduated from Harvard Business and she was intelligent but you are a whole new level.
Good luck!

Hello Academio,
You do have a great background and I dont expect you to have any issue with your application. However, I would advise that you convince yourself on the reason why you need an MBA. This will reflect in your business school application essay.
I believe there is always a way the adcom gets to know if you truly need an MBA. So, start the application process now. Meanwhile, you may need to bookmark www.mbaxploit.com (http://www.mbaxploit.com). I use the website to share my business school application experience.
