sachin gulati 09-18-2006, 02:56 PM hello,
i am an entrepreneur and working in education industry for the last 7 years.
from the last 3 years i am passionately involved in a concept 'value investing' and studying and practising it .this is the reason to apply for columbia actually as it is the place where this concept had originated.
my gmat score is 730. (q-95,v-85,overall 97) but my gpa is average.
my problem is that i do not have any credentials to show my interest in the field i am passionate about.
so instead of making this as my theme should i play safe and rather work on theme of my entrepreneurial expansion plans as a reason for applying .
Clear Admit 10-02-2006, 04:31 PM no, focus on what you are passionate about. try to make references to how the skills you have developed may transfer to your goals. show a good "why columbia" that also signals your passion for your goals etc. cheers, alex
