esc226 07-07-2006, 12:24 PM Hello. I'm looking to get into NYU Stern. I graduated from NYU stern undergrad and double majored in finance/information systems. However my gpa was quite low (2.9) (too much partying unfortunately).
Anyway when I came out of school I was hired by Marsh & Mclennan as a financial analyst for two years. Then I changed jobs to American Express where I am a financial analyst and soon to be manager. I think my experience is decent.
I've been out of school for 3 years and would like to go back. What do you think my chances of getting back to NYU are? What kind of GMAT scores would I need? And do you think my work experience could overcome my low gpa?
cemj99 07-08-2006, 05:36 PM I'm not an admissions expert but it sounds like you have a terrific professional background. I think your chances should be pretty good. If not Stern, you should definitely be able to get into a good school.
