shompa_b 07-07-2006, 06:17 AM Hi
I am interviewing with EM Lyon at the moment byut also applying to Manchester, Warwick and RSM Erasmus. What would you say is the best. I know RSM is highest in rankings along with Warick, But im pretty keen to go to a new country and learn a new language which i know wont happen in holland. People are telling me Lyon is very quiet in terms of industry and opportunities so i shouldnt consider going there and instead apply to HEC for next yr. what do you think? go for EM Lyon if i get in, or re apply for something better. my GMAT score is 600 and have 5 yrs of work ex with accenture for an idea of my background, so the schools im applying to are all my range and not tier 1 schools. what is the general take on Lyon?
shompa_b 07-12-2006, 10:30 AM Hi
I have been accepted on the EM Lyon International MBA Program for this year. I am happy but wanted advice whether its worth waiting to hear back from Warwick, Manchester and RSM Erasmus. PLASE ADVISE. ANY EM LYON ALUMNI OR CURRENT STUDENTS?
Hi Shompa-
I'm Not an EM Lyon grad or student, but it think you can answer this without one.
Of course it's worth waiting to hear from the other ones unless EM Lyon is your top # 1 choice without any doubt.
They usually give you some time to decide, and there's nothing wrong with asking for more time if you need it. They're usually happy to do so.
Have you visited the schools you've applied to? Why not help yourself decide by visiting the campuses and getting an idea of which one has he best fit?
shompa_b 07-13-2006, 05:32 AM Hi Mike thanks for that. I was hoping to get a response on some reviews of EM Lyon. I know its not that high on the rankings but my profile seemed ideal for this school so i would be happy to accept this as my other options are warwick or RSM.Im looking to go abroad and learn a new language, hence france appeals. if someone can give me any negative points on EM Lyon in terms of a general MBA, or the location it would make me think twice. just for the record to prive my profile matched this school, my gmat score was 600, with 5 yrs of multinational finance experience.
