Hello! My multi-channel marketing company is debating whether or not to join the Direct Marketing Association. If so, I would be attending most of the annual events. When applying to B-schools, can I state on my resumes that I did in fact attend this annual conferences, and will this impress the admissions departments? or is it not worth it???

gracias!

It really isn't worth it. It's better to focus on the accomplishments of your business rather than your involvement in a trade organization for multilevel marketing. I know this wouldn't be well received by most schools. I can't speak for most schools but when we were putting our business plans together for our final project, we were banned from even putting together a plan to open up a franchise(McDonald's, Blimpie, etc). I know you get a lot of good experience from DMA and your business but the b-school community doesn't seem to be ready for that.

I don't think you want to admit you have anything to do with MLM. In fact if you do have anything to do with MLM, you should quit now. Maybe even see a therapist.

MLM?

He said Multi-Channel Marketing- not Multi LEVEL marketing. My understanding is that it's not the whole Amway thing- it's Direct Marketing stuff...

So- spammers, not con artists. :D

I could be wrong though.
