I am engg. graduate from India, currently working in the US. I am applying for MBA programs starting fall 2005. One of the things I missed out earlier was to obtain my academic transcripts from India. And currently, i am little out of touch with my college.
The deadlines for application submission are fast approaching and I am not suer whether I will be able to get the transcripts on time.
I heard from my friends, that most of the schools accept copies(notarised) of academic records. Is this true? If so, do I get a notary from the local office here and authorise the copies. The original academic records are in English and clearly specify all the courses I have attended and the marks obtained against each of the subjects broken down by each term.
Any help is appreciated

Hi and thanks for the inquiry.
Contact the schools and ask them directly. Different schools have different policies and sometimes exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis. This does demonstrate though, the need to plan ahead when applying to b-school.
