stashal 04-25-2006, 10:57 PM Hi,
I am applying to a Part-Time program that requires 4 essays + 1 optional. The only instruction that they give you is that each essay should be at least 1 page in lenght. After writing two essays of about 4 pages each a person whom I asked to give me feedback on them told me that they might be too long and that no one would want to read 16 pages.
Can anyone tell me what the appropriate length of an essay should be since the program I am applying to is vague in that reguard? To me when someone says "at least 1 page" means 1 page is the bare minimum, but again I might be completely wrong.
If you're a great writer- 16 pages can be gripping. Realistically, however- it should only be as long as required to answer the question effectively. Remember that in business- you want brevity in writing.
