PriscillaFlores3 09-04-2006, 01:24 PM Hello,
I am currently studying for the GMAT and looking at my Business School options, but I'm wondering how much of a chance I have to get into a Tier 1 school with my history? As an undergrad I took off with a bad start, I did mediocre in my classes and because of personal issues performed poorly for two semesters (I eventually withdrew from those classes and have Ws on my record). After some time off I came back and did very well in my last two years. Unfortunately, because of my slow start, I graduated with only a 2.9 GPA. What can I do to balance my history? If I do extremely well on the GMAT will is make a difference? I am VERY serious about pursuing an MBA and any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Rocco 10-02-2006, 08:33 PM Your chances of being admitted to a tier 1 or a tier 2 MBA programs are nonexistent, unless you graduated from top 10 program as an undergraduate, you have distinguished employment accomplishments and you can demonstrate to the folks on the admissions committee that you have the intellectual capacity to compete with other superstar students. Having a stellar GMAT score is only one requirement that you would need to meet. I would seriously consider looking at other local programs that may fit your profile. What city are you in ?
