can anyone give me any insight...

i am applying to fordham business school. i am only 2 years out of college (working full-time). my gmat is a 610 and my gpa is a 2.7. i kno my gpa is extremely low, but it started increasing once i switched majors (junior year). i have a very focused career goal - management consulting in the retail industry (mainly fashion) and will be able to convey it in my essays. what do you think my chances are? if you think i should postpone applying for a year, what can i do to better my chances?

I have a similar question. I am interested in applying to Northwestern's Part-time MBA program for Fall 2007. I'm wondering if it will be worth trying to apply. What are my chances? As anyone been accepted with similar stats/background?

GMAT: 660
Undergrad: Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from Illinois State University, cumulative GPA: 4.0
Graduated Summa Cum Laude, University Honors, Departmental Honors
3 years work experience as Web Developer of major Financial Services firm in Chicago. Received 2 promotions in 2 years.

I've got the undergrad GPA going for me (albeit from a state school), but my GMAT score is a little lower than Northwestern's average (690). Does anyone think its worth applying to Northwestern?

If you have some great work experience and some other activities where you have demonstrated leadership you should have a decent chance of getting into Fordham.
