Hi, My daughter is in Class XII and is interested in pursuing HR. What is the best UG course for this choice? Again UG is only for 3 years and if she wishes to go to States for MBA, how does she do the fourth year of UG? How long is it better for her to work before she applies for MBA???

Not sure about undergrad that is pertinent to HR but given the nature of HR in the US it seems a law degree (LLB) may be a good undergrad. You do see the higher ups in HR that deal with HR litigations, all sorts of discrimination lawsuits, union issues, admin, etc and having titles such as General Counsel and VP of HR.

On the 3 year undergrad from India, many universities in US will accept 3 year undergrad with excellent academic record, scores and work experience. Check out the FAQ #9 at Wharton.

The same stands true for many other institutes. However, it will be a challange to get into a decent US MBA program with an undergrad and no work experience(and it is not easy to get financial aid/tution waivers in B-schools)
