Probability of actually being accepted to TOP B-Schools?

Hello everyone. Thank you for taking the time to read my question.

I am currently an undergraduate student. I am looking to apply to the top business schools and I would appreciate any feedback on what you think my chances of actually being accepted are.

Here is a mini-profile about me:
MAJOR: Business
GPA CUM.: >3.63
GPA Major: ~3.8-3.9
GMAT: N/A (will take soon)
WORK EXPERIENCE: Internship @ Countrywide
OTHER: President of business/investment club, member of National Honors Society (Gamma Beta Phi), Golden Key, Deans List, etc.

With the information above, what do I need to do to separate myself from the rest of the applicants?

Here is my plan:
-Take GMAT soon
-Work for 4-5 years
-Then apply to top B-Schools

Any help/comments are greatly appreciated. I really want to go to a good business school to get my MBA.

Thank you!

It's still early.

Like you said- you're planning on working for 4-5 years. A lot of people are chomping at the bit to get stared and are less excited about having to wait. The fact that you realize you need extensive work experience shows a lot of maturity.

Your grades are very good- that should help.
Being president of your Business Finance club shows leadership skills which will also be good.

Depending on where you want to go, you could spend the next few years setting yourself apart from the other in the box thinker button downs by starting or contributing heavily to a charity, or raising funds for a charity looking for sponsors for a triathalon, marathon or extreme race. That being said- you would probably be competitive at top b-schools if you follow the path you're currently on.

Don't get married to the notion- you don't necessarily need an MBA to be taken very seriously in business, and life does tend to happen- so keep that in mind and make sure you have other priorities.

Thank you so much for the fast reply. I definitely have realized that I need the work experience. I fit the profile of most undergrad students that have the desire to apply to apply to b-school right after graduating, but i'll just hold off for a couple years.

I will also be studying extremely hard for the GMAT because I know how important that test is.

At this moment, I am just trying to make my 'resume' look as impressive as possible.

Thank you again for your comments and support. Any other information is greatly appreciated.

Seriously- Do something really out of character to set yourself apart. I meant no disparagement with my in the box thinking comment- I just know that there will be hundreds of people with similar profiles jockying for the same position. Doing something to stand out will enhance you chances. It's what we sometimes call the 'wow' factor around here.

-Spending a year with the Peace Corp before starting work.
-Starting a charity for xxxxxx cause- anything to do with the sick or underpriveledged kids will score points- especially if you don't suffer from said disease or were not an under priveledged kid yourself.

These are a couple of suggestions- find one that suits you.
