Has anyone tried to use online educational services like http://www.EssayPlant.com?They claim to provide high quality writing even for MBA-level students and complete confidentiality.

Is there a slight chance that my professors will find out that someone else did my homework for me? Their services seem rather tempting, taking into account my busy schedule at the moment.
Thanks in advance.

Wow, I see we have a future Enron exec on the board. Man, that is some damn nerve to ask us if you should cheat. Hmm, is this an ethics class you need this paper for. Not too bright to put the name of the site you are getting the essay from so the 1500 or so MBA students that visit this site will know where to buy the exact same essay you have. Why not tell us what class this is for and the school? We'll write your professor and ask him his opinion.

Are you one of those people we see on Cops that get arrested in the hood with the hooker and claim that you were just asking for directions?

I think I'm going to have to add no cheaters into the TOS. Although maybe its good they post here if they get caught and kicked out of school from posting crap like this.

Sigmund,

Perhaps the larger issue you should address is not whether or not the professor will catch you, but whether you will benefit from passing off the assignment as your own. Sure- you'll get the grade (given you don't get caught), however, if you dig down and apply yourself and work hard at the assignment and earn your grade, you'll get the benefit not only of having a full understanding of the topic, but you will also have the confidence that you can work hard and commit yourself PLUS that you are ethical and did the right thing (the latter doesn't apply if you have no ethical compass, however- and there's a technical word for people like that- Psychopaths).

The value to you is greater if you do it yourself, not just from a risk of getting caught point of view, but also from an experiential point of view.

It's rather easy to detect cheating of this type. For example, you can build a writing profile based on previous work submitted by a student: average sentence length, average word length, and word repetition rate. If a student report suddenly differs from this profile, chances are something is amiss.

By the way, I once read a paper in some technical statistics journal that used this approach to determine the real author of some well-known works. Anyone want to know whether or not the apostle Paul wrote the NT book of Hebrews? :)

Steve, I'd rather not have the religious fantics ddos MBA-Forums over a history debate. ;)

For sure! The reason I mention it is that it was a fascinating article to read. Handwriting analysis has been around for some time, but who would believe that we each have a unique signature based on our writing style?
