Hi All
I am planning to apply for MBA programs in the US and Canada for fall-2007. Need some feedback on whether or not my chances are realistic.

I plan to apply to 4/5 colleges in the 5-15 rank range in the US, and a couple of the top programs in CA.

here's my profile:
5 yrs in the IT industry (i know this will bite me a bit, but am hoping to mitigate it with some strong essays)
Have beeen leading/managing projects for the last 3 years - prestigious client names involved.
Have internal organizational awards for great performance , especially in team environments.
Have work experience abroad for 2 out of these 5 years.
Both my earlier company and the one i current work for are very prestigious.
Undergraduate % in Engg - 70% from india
GMAT 760
Gold medalist in 12th in my group and specific subjects.
Overall, more than good career progression.
Also, i'm getting very solid references from my client and current employer.
One wek aspect: no extra carriculars worth mentioning, and i'm not sure i want to do community service just for the sake of getting into a B-school.

please let me know if my aim of making an attempt for b-schools 5-15 is reasonable. Any other valuable advice is appreciated as well.

Honestly? I don't think you have much of a chance. As harsh and as unfair as it seems, you sound like every other Indian IT guy with a good GMAT. You have no extra-currics, no interesting hobbies or quirks about you. You're just one of the thousands of other applicants who sound exactly the same.

Can you get in? Yup! But the odds are against you. Check out the businessweek.com web forums for a lot more info.
