anjinsanserdar 03-05-2006, 04:53 PM i know the questions are weighed differently in GMAT, but how many questions from each of the english and math sections can you miss and still get a 700?
I think that's pretty tough to say, as each question is worth more or less based on how you're doing. It's called CAT, and it stands for Computer Adaptive Test.
It means that as you do better, the questions get harder and are worth more points. If, for example, you get all the questions right except for 2 or 3 at the beginning, you probably are going to have trouble cracking 600, however, if you get 2 or 3 wrong right at the end, you probably have a better shot at 700.
anjinsanserdar 03-08-2006, 11:48 AM so can we say that the first question in both english and verbal sections is the most important one?
You can say that the first ten on either section carry the most weight.
nukesean 03-15-2006, 10:54 AM Nobody can answer that. Like the other poster mentioned, it depends on WHICH questions you miss or get right. In addition, it's relative to the pool. In other words, the number score is dependent upon the percentile for that applicant pool. If you're in the 98th percentile one year, you might have been able to miss 5; the next year, you might have been able to miss only 3. It's relative to the pool.
